Odd things...

- I've DELETED e-mails...Aaargh! When you delete emails, they are normally stored in the Deleted folder. But if you've deleted them from the Delete folder or Outlook is set to 'clear when Outlook is closed', then they're gonefor good. Sorry! Unless you know ofa C programmer who knows how to access the Outlook.pst file. However, if your email is on the Exchange Server v5.5 or later, and the administrator has configured it to retain deleted email, and your mail store has not been purged, then
1) click Deletd Items, 2) Tools menu and click on 'Recover Deleted Items' option. or Since 'prevention' is better than cure, disable emptying of the Deleted Items folder on exiit in the 'Tools/Options/Maintenance'of Outlook.
- Attachments won't open left-click (once) on Tools, Options, select the Security tab an remove the tick that you'll probably see next to where it reads Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus.
- Cannot send e-mails You need to restore the .wab file, and to find it go to the Windows Search feature (or Find if you're on Win 98/ME) and enter *.wab in the'All Files and Fodlers'. This is the file extension for the Address Book file.Once you found the your file (usually would have your identity name),right-click on it and left click on Properties.In the 'General' tab of the Properties, looktowards the bottom where you'll see Attributes, Read-only and uncheck it.Then click on Apply, OK and attempt to recreate and send an e-mail and...voila!

- Whenever I close Outlook, it shows a dialogue saying that I have 'unsent' email Your e-mails are still in the Outbox
folder. Move them to the Draft folder or create a new folder, i.e. SendLater folder.If your feeling adventurous, you could setup a micro in VBA Editor [Alt][F11].
- Sort emails with different addresses Create a new Identity for each e-mail address you have,e.g. File/Identities/Add New Identity then follow the Wizard making sure you enter the correct e-mail address and the details of your e-mail server [pop3.myserver@isp.com, smtp.myserver@isp.com].You'll see the new e-mail profile with Inbox, Outbox, etc folders.
When you need to switch to another identity, simply click on File,Switch Identities, and choose the identity.

- Where are the Inbox, Outbox et all folders? Look into the C:\Documents and Settings folder, then Local Settings, then Application Data, then Identities, then onto a folder with lots of letters & numbers. Hey Presto! This is the identity folder where emails are stored
